TREE REMOVAL REQUESTS
The Marquette Board of Light and Power and/or its contractor/s can top trees below the electric distribution lines that are growing in or near the right-of-way to provide for the safe operation of our distribution system. Each request will be inspected after the form has been filled out to determine the necessity of the topping request to provide for such clearance as determined by the Board. Work will be done as time permits. In cases when it is determined that the trees present an imminent and clear danger to the system and/or the public, we will expedite the work at the earliest possible date.
NOTE: In cases where the request is deemed not to present a hazard to the safe operation of the electric system and/or can be safely trimmed or removed by a qualified tree service company, the customer will be so advised.
